Euroleague Student Association (ELSA)

What is ELSA

The Euroleague Student Association (ELSA) is an organisation in which students from each of the ELLS member and partner universities are working together to enhance student mobility as well as stimulate international cooperation and cultural understanding.

The goals of ELSA are to strengthen the cooperation of the universities, to bring students together and to give them the opportunity to work in an international context.

Within the ELLS network we represent the students’ point of view in all ELLS bodies, we actively provide support to ELLS working groups. If there are any questions or suggestions regarding studies within the Euroleague for Life Sciences, don’t hesitate to contact us by e-mail or the contact form.

ELSA farewell messages

Hej! (on Swedish)

My name is Elin and I have been an ELSA from summer 2020 to summer 2022. I have studied Equine science at SLU (The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences). After my studies I worked for the Jointed committee of the Student unions and a part of my work was to be an ELSA. It has been a great experience for me to work more international with students from other campus and I have learned a lot about the international collaboration between the different ELLS university.
Due to the pandemic, I unfortunately couldn’t visit al the campus in Europe who are part of the ELLS network. But we have still achieved a lot, for example two online SSC, plenty of online meeting and manage to get to know each other from the different ELLS universities.

Hallo! I am Ulla and I have been ELSA for almost three years. Becoming an ELSA was one of the best decisions I made during my time of studies. I got to meet students from lots of different universities and got to learn about all the different education systems and also the different approaches to student life :). I really enjoyed the international experience, learning from each other and being able to reflect on my home university. The best thing about ELSA was beeeing able to visit the different ELLS universities for conferences and meetings. It didn’t feel like work but coming together with likeminded people and working on a goal together. This has also shaped the kind of job I am looking for, now that I am graduating. Overall ELSA has been an outstanding experience and I can only recomend it to others.
Hoi, I'm Jette and I have been an ELSA member since the summer of 2020. When I started, I looked forward to meeting a lot of students from all over Europe and visiting other universities. However, due to Corona I was only able to visit SGGW and SLU. Nevertheless I had a lot of fun working with other ELSAs on varies projects, hosting during the Scientific Student Conference and discussing international relations with staff members of all universities. One of the best meeting I attendant as an ELSA member was the ELSA meeting at WUR, were I used to study. I had so much fun showing all the other members around the city were I studied for four years and sharing some of my favorite places. We went BierBowlenBitterballen, one of the most student like experiences in the Netherlands. I am now writing this message from the campus of SLU. Today we will attent a student union party and I am looking forward to experiencing student life in Uppsala, Sweden. I had a lovely time with a lot of nice and 'gezellige' students! I hope the new student of WUR will have even a better time than I had, since they hopefully can have double the amount of physical meetings
